Who Counseling is For
You might be a good fit for counseling if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or worn down by patterns that no longer feel sustainable. Many people reach out not because something is “wrong,” but because they’re tired of carrying everything on their own and want space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what’s going on.
Counseling may be helpful if you’re experiencing:
• Anxiety or overthinking that’s hard to quiet
• Burnout, exhaustion, or feeling emotionally depleted
• Low mood, numbness, or a sense of being stuck
• Difficulty with boundaries or people-pleasing
• Relationship patterns that feel confusing, painful, or hard to break
• Ongoing grief, loss, or unresolved sadness

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counseling. It can be a place to better understand yourself, work through life transitions, and create meaningful, sustainable change at a pace that feels right for you.
My Approach
My name is Alexa Young
I approach therapy with the belief that each person is more than a diagnosis or a set of symptoms.
I offer relational, trauma-informed counseling for adults who want support that feels both thoughtful and practical. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, while always honoring your lived experience and the pace that feels right for you. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relational patterns, or feeling stuck in ways you can’t quite name, therapy is a space to slow down, gain clarity, and move forward with greater steadiness.
I draw from a range of integrative, evidence-based modalities and tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs and goals. My aim is to create an environment that feels safe, grounded, and collaborative—where you can feel understood, supported, and gently challenged in ways that lead to meaningful, sustainable change.
